One week after a confrontation that left a Port Angeles woman dead, details about the shooting are emerging from authorities in Kitsap County.
Rosa Hammer, 27, was killed during an exchange of gunfire with State Patrol trooper Ron Kessler following a traffic stop Aug. 9 on state Route 16 in Gorst, south of Bremerton.
Kessler was wounded in the hand.

Authorities say about a pound of marijuana, close to $1,000 in cash and six hollow-point bullets were found later in the pickup.
