The Coast Guard transported an injured 73-year old woman from a cruise ship in the Strait of Juan de Fuca on Sunday morning.
The Coast Guard received a call from the Rescue Coordination Center in Victoria requesting assistance for an injured woman on the cruise ship Norwegian Wind.
A 41-foot utility boat from Coast Guard Station Port Angeles was launched at 8:35 a.m. to transport the injured woman to a awaiting ambulance at the Victoria Express ferry terminal in The Landing mall.
The woman, who the Coast Guard didn”t identify, was taken to Olympic Memorial Hospital, where her condition was unknown.
