PORT ANGELES – The Port Angeles City Council unanimously voted Sunday to give City Manager Mark Madsen a cost of living raise plus 2 percent.
Madsen said he currently makes about $142,000 annually, so with the raise of about $6,035 he will be making about $148,035.
Of the raise, 2 percent, $2,840, was the extra that the council agreed to pay Madsen.
“Mark has worked extremely hard and has been a leader in many major issues,” Mayor Karen Rogers said.
“He has done a lot of work, and there is a lot of work left to do.”
