The Clallam County Boundary Review Board voted 4-0 Thursday night to halt its proposed review of the city of Port Angeles’ proposed annexation of west-side territory that includes a future hardwood sawmill.
The board accepted a letter Thursday from the Clallam County Public Utility District withdrawing the PUD’s request for review. It was the last of four original requests to the board to be withdrawn.
Board chairman Orville Campbell reported that an assistant attorney general said the review didn’t need to continue.
The action allows the city to annex 346.41 acres that includes the proposed $23 million Port Angeles Hardwoods LLC mill as well as other industrial properties with a $7.1 million total assessed valuation.
