PORT ANGELES — Harbor cruises and a community services officer will be additions to the city’s downtown this summer.
The City Council unanimously approved both pilot projects at its Tuesday night meeting.
Seventh Wave Charters Inc., owned by Michael Swirski of Sequim, will offer two-hour cruise tours in the Port Angeles Harbor from later this month through October.
Swirski, who also owns a downtown cafe, said he wants the cruises aboard his 45-foot sailboat to be a memorable experience for residents as well as tourists, Swirski said.
He’ll be able to do it from City Pier, of which the council approved for one summer season as a pilot project.
