PORT ANGELES — The list of applicants to replace retiring City Attorney Craig Knutson has been pared from the original 21 to 10, including a current member of the City Council.
City Manager Michael Quinn said the 10 applicants will be subjected to a supplemental screening process to include checking resumes and backgrounds, Quinn said.
The list will then be pared to four to six people for interviews on March 18, he said.
The 10 semifinalists include City Councilwoman Lauren Erickson, who is a deputy county prosecutor, and current senior assistant city attorney Dennis Dickson, according to City Councilwoman Karen Rogers.
