PORT ANGELES — The latest in the saga of the downtown Lincoln Theatre:
The building is now for sale.
The 10,200 square-foot property, located on the corner of First and Lincoln streets, is listed with Coldwell Banker Uptown Realty for $265,000 — $20,000 more than its current assessed value.
The news coincides with renewed lease talks involving city Economic Development Director Tim Smith.
He has stepped in as a mediator in the stalemated dispute between the building’s owner, the G.M. Lauridsen Trust, and the Lincoln’s operator, Sun Basin Theaters of Wenatchee.
The 85-year-old, three-screen, 163-seat Lincoln posted a sign Tuesday saying that the theater would close Mother’s Day, May 13.
Sun Basin also owns the five-screen, 850-seat Deer Park Cinemas east of Port Angeles.
