PORT ANGELES — The entry deadline for “Art Convergence,” a juried exhibition to open next month at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, has been changed to Oct. 13.
“I’ve extended the deadline to see if we can get more participation,” said center Executive Director Robin Anderson.
Information and entry forms are at www.PAFAC.org. The entry fee is $25 for two artworks. Entries must be submitted online.
“Art Convergence” has two jurors: Peninsula College art professor Michael Paul Miller will judge the two-dimensional entries, while Port Townsend sculptor David Eisenhour will judge the three-dimensional works.
Prizes include $1,000 for best in show, $500 for first place and $100 for honorable mentions in the two categories.
Open Nov. 14
“Art Convergence” will open Nov. 14 and stay on display through Jan. 10 — the holiday shopping season, Anderson noted — so the works in the show will be for sale.
To celebrate the opening, an artists reception will be open to the public at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.
Then at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, Miller and Eisenhour will give a free talk followed by a free Celtic harp and classical guitar concert with Lorrie and Ben Parris.

The center’s Webster House gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, while Webster’s Woods, the surrounding 5-acre art park, is open from sunrise till sunset daily.
