As reserve soldiers, airmen and sailors are called to active duty, the American Red Cross is resuming its military caseworker program.
Janet Hughes, executive director of the Clallam County Chapter of the American Red Cross, said the chapter is looking for volunteers to serve as military caseworkers.
“We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to take a pager and be on call 24 hours a day to do verifications for family situations here at home to send to the military,”‘ she said.
Military caseworkers assist families and armed forces officials by relaying pertinent medical information about the well-being of family members of those called to serve during times of war.
