Police seek girl missing since Tuesday

Bristol Pemberton last seen at Vintage at Sequim apartments

SEQUIM — A Port Orchard teen who was last seen near Sequim apartments Tuesday was still missing Thursday, Sequim police said.

Bristol Pemberton, 14, was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Vintage at Sequim apartments at 1009 W. Brackett Road.

She was reported as missing Tuesday and was entered into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database, Sequim Sgt. John Southard said Thursday.

Pemberton was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black jeans and a black and white baseball cap when she ran from her father’s residence, said her mother, Jessica Wanner of Port Orchard.

“She left with nothing, not even her glasses,” Wanner said Thursday.

“She had no phone.”

Pemberton was described as being 5-foot-6, 140 pounds. She has a medium build with short red hair and hazel eyes, according to a flier being circulated by Wanner.

Wanner said she arrived at the apartments to pick up her child Tuesday afternoon. Pemberton’s father said she had “run off,” Wanner said.

Wanner said her daughter had little money and knows very few people in Sequim.

“She’s never done this before,” Wanner said.

“I don’t see how she would have any idea how to hide out and feed herself.

“Sometimes I think that somebody took her,” Wanner added.

“(The police) are reassuring me that she is going to be found.”

Anyone with information on Pemberton’s whereabouts is asked to phone 9-1-1.
