PORT HADLOCK — Poets Jane Wong and Bill Carty will read and discuss poetry at the Jefferson County Library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9.
The program will be free at 620 Cedar Ave., in Port Hadlock, but seating will be limited, so visitors are urged to arrive early.
Wong’s poems can be found in anthologies and journals such as Best American Poetry 2015, Best New Poets 2012, Pleiades and Third Coast.
She is the author of the book Overpour (Action Books) forthcoming this fall.
Currently, she teaches at the University of Washington Bothell and the Richard Hugo House in Seattle.
Bill Carty was a Poetry Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Mass., for 2013-14.
He edits book reviews for Poetry Northwest and teaches at the Richard Hugo House.
Carty’s poems have recently appeared (or will soon) in the Boston Review, the Iowa Review, Conduit, Poetry Northwest, Pleiades, the Volta, Oversound and Willow Springs.
