PORT ANGELES — Poet Lucia Perillo will be featured during Thursday’s presentation of Studium Generale at Peninsula College.
The free lecture, a part of the Studium Generale series, will be at 12:35 p.m. in the Little Theater at the campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
Perillo will read from her recently published poetry collection, Time Will Clean the Carcass Bones: New and Selected Poems.
“It is an honor to bring Lucia Perillo to the poetry stage at PC once again,” said Studium coordinator Kate Reavey.
After earning an undergraduate degree in wildlife management, Perillo, who now lives in Olympia, worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service before completing her master’s in English at Syracuse University.
She was a MacArthur Fellow in 2000 and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2009.
