Plan your wedding at PDN bridal fair

PORT ANGELES — Lovebirds planning their big day — and all the essential players who bring a wedding to life — go hand-in-hand at the Peninsula Daily News Bridal Show on Sunday, March 2.

The largest wedding services event in Jefferson and Clallam counties, it will be held at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is free.

Almost 30 wedding-related businesses — including dress shops, caterers, florists, travel agents and photographers — will have booths at the show.

“Brides and grooms can plan the entire wedding right there,” said Sue Stoneman, PDN advertising operations manager and bridal show coordinator.

The wedding expo will also feature bridal fashion shows at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.,

There will be a “Build Your Own Wedding Dress” contest at about 11:45 a.m., with the winner getting a prize package of gifts from North Olympic Peninsula businesses.

The March 2 show will also feature:

  • Drawings for prizes.

  • Free samples from many of the bridal show’s vendors.

    The vendors include Ambrosia; Avant Garde Florist; Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant Jill Coughenour; King’s Way Foursquare Church; Hadlock Building Supply Just Ask Rental; Black Diamond Bridal; Something to Crow About; Elks; Costco; Necessities & Temptations; Natural Light Photography; Susan Parr Travel.

    Also, Red Lion Catering, Julie Lawrence Studios; The Pampered Chef consultant Pam Munro; The Cedars at Dungeness Double Eagle Steak & Seafood restaurant; Just N Love Bridal; The Gifting Place; An Elegant Touch Chocolate Fountain; Cameron’s Cafe and Custom Catering; Candy Bouquet; Rick’s Place Restaurant and Lounge; Sensaria consultant Linda Short; Chapel Bay; Creative Media Productions; Gateway Therapeutic Massage; The Toggery

    A special 24-page section on the bridal show will be included in the Peninsula Daily News this coming Wednesday.
