Below, the sun came out just as the annual umbrella parade got underway during RainFest on Saturday in Forks. Umbrella decorators worked on their creations that morning and then crossed Spartan Avenue and headed down Forks Avenue, parading all the way to Forks Outfitters where they enjoyed free root beer floats. The Olympic Peninsula Guides Association was set up at the store’s parking lot providing free river floats on the Sol Duc and Bogachiel rivers for most of the day. Other activities Saturday included art workshops and an art show at the Rainforest Arts Center, as well as the Fabric of the Forest Quilt Show. Activities continued Sunday.
