BREMERTON — Port Townsend-based photographer Ross Pruden has won an honorable mention at the 2023 Washington State Juried Art Competition for his photograph “Reclamation.”
The photograph shows two trees, one white and one black, sprouting through old railroad tracks on the High Line, a 1.45 mile-long park built on a historic freight rail line on Manhattan’s West Side.The 24-inch by 36-inch print is face-mounted on translucent acrylic.
Roger Morris of Sequim won a purchase award from Theresa Bryant — Edward Jones for his digital plein air piece “Ruby Beach Overlook.”
The annual competition is hosted by the Collective Visions Gallery, 331 Pacific Ave.
Exhibition
All 130 submitted pieces will be on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Friday, Feb. 24.
