PORT TOWNSEND — Arran Stark, executive chef for Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, holds up the peel from a cucumber while giving pointers for cooking healthy foods to kids and adults at the Jefferson County Farmer’s market on Wednesday. Stark demonstrated the making of a healthy dip for a crudite using fresh peas and cottage cheese as part of World Wide Breastfeeding Week with the emphasis on breast milk as the very first healthy food kids get in life. The program was sponsored by Jefferson Healthcare and Jefferson County Public Health. The demos will repeat Saturday at the Uptown Farmer’s Market.
