Angels and devils, little animals, superheroes, pirates and more.
They all were spotted along the downtown streets of Port Angeles, Port Townsend and Sequim on Wednesday afternoon.
Such were the trick-or-treat activities in the three downtown areas, courtesy of participating merchants who welcomed the costumed tikes – and their parents – in their stores with candies and other goodies.
Port Townsend’s door-to-door meanderings followed a kiddy costume parade that ran from the Bank of America building south almost to the ferry landing.
In Port Angeles and Sequim, children visited stores and businesses with their minds set more on treats than any tricks.
In all the communities, the merchants’ Halloween activities in the daylight hours were designed to give children a fun trick-or-treat experience without the inherent dangers of going door to door in residential neighborhoods at night.
