HOODSPORT — A search began Tuesday for a high-ranking official with the state Department of Retirement Systems believed missing in Olympic National Park.
Gilbert Mark Gilman, 47, of Olympia was last seen at the Staircase Ranger Station near Hoodsport on Saturday and was reported missing by a co-worker on Sunday.
The search will resume at first light today.
Gilman, deputy director for the Department of Retirement Systems, is described as being in good health, but with limited overnight hiking skills, according to a statement from the park.
