LAPUSH — A 26-year-old man was being evaluated Sunday evening at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for injuries he suffered after falling near Olympic National Park’s Second Beach.
Paul S. Wells of Seattle fell while climbing on rocks around 9 a.m. Sunday, park spokeswoman Barb Maynes said.
Wells broke his left ankle and fractured or dislocated his other ankle, Maynes said.
He may have also suffered head and back injuries, Lt. j.g. Kevin Barres, Coast Guard Group Port Angeles public affairs officer, said.
