BLYN — There was only one thing to say Sunday in the Club Seven lounge at the 7 Cedars Casino as the Seattle Seahawks demolished the Carolina Panthers:
Not a word — not if you wanted to be heard.
The crowd of about 100 people got loud when the Seahawks ran out onto the turf at Qwest Field.
The noise became deafening when their defense stuffed a run.
It reached earsplitting when Matt Hasselbeck completed a pass to Seneca Wallace.
And when Hasselbeck threw a touchdown pass to Jerremy Wallace, it was time to throw away the thesaurus and stick your fingers in your ears.
Liquor and beer flowed freely throughout the game, but it wasn’t alcohol that slaked the patrons’ thirst.
It was a Super Bowl bid after three long, dry decades of rooting for the Heehawks, the Seahacks and, worst of all, the SOS — Same Ol’ Seahawks.
These fans quaffed the joy of winning Sunday, and the Seahawks kept refilling their cups.
