Peninsula Daily News names advertising sales director for website

PORT ANGELES — Vivian Hansen has been promoted to director of new media advertising sales at the Peninsula Daily News.

The appointment reflects the strong advertiser and consumer response to the PDN’s website and other Internet initiatives and the newspaper’s position as the largest source of local news and advertising in Jefferson and Clallam counties.

“Vivian is dedicated to marketing and selling new media services and promoting economic growth on the North Olympic Peninsula,” said John Brewer, publisher and editor of the PDN, www.peninsuladailynews.com, Sequim This Week (the PDN’s weekly newspaper in Sequim) and www.sequimthisweek.com.

“She will develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing advertisers while continuing to elevate our presence as the largest information provider on the Peninsula.”

Hansen has 11 years of experience at the PDN in advertising and business services and holds a number of staff awards, including PDN Employee of the Year and Advertising Ace of the Year.

Hansen can be reached at 360-417-3545 and by e-mail at vivian.hansen@peninsuladailynews.com.

Succeeding Hansen as a PDN advertising account executive is Joylena Owen.

Her responsibilities will include both print and Internet advertising sales for the PDN, www.peninsuladailynews.com, Sequim This Week and www.sequim thisweek.com.

She was formerly in the PDN’s Circulation Department, specializing in customer service and subscriber sales.

Owen can be contacted at 360-417-3543 or joy.owen@peninsuladailynews.com.
