The Coast Guard called off the search Monday for a missing Port Angeles fisherman who witnesses say fell into Hood Canal on Sunday.
Daniel Horton tumbled overboard with friend David J. Faulkner while trying to hoist crab pots off Browns Point about 11 miles southwest of the Hood Canal Bridge, Coast Guard Petty Officer Sara Foster-Snell said.
The search was suspended at noon Monday without finding a trace of Horton, she said.
Faulkner, 37, was pulled from the chilly Hood Canal on Sunday afternoon by the crew of a Port Angeles-based Coast Guard helicopter. He was treated for hypothermia at Bremerton Naval Hospital and released, Foster-Snell said.
