Peggy’s tea raises funds for Clallam County Foundation

PORT ANGELES — The United Way of Clallam County has announced that Peggy’s Birthday Tea has raised more than $10,000 for the Dick and Peggy Owens Fund of the Clallam Community Foundation.

More than 80 guests attended the inaugural benefit held March 20 at the Port Angeles Yacht Club.

Guests enjoyed tea sandwiches from Toga’s Soup House and drinks from Bada NW Coffee Bar and Camaraderie Cellars.

Desserts were donated by Jim’s Pharmacy; centerpieces were made by Bada Bloom and sponsored by Olympic Veterinary Clinic.

The event was sponsored by DA Davidson and Co., Green Crow Co. and Jennifer K. Ciarlo, Edward Jones.

According to a press release, Dick and Peggy Owen’s fund community organizations in Clallam County that provide medical services to low income, uninsured individuals or provide assistance to women leaving domestic abuse situations to become independent and self-sufficient.
