Pedestrian hit, critically hurt, on Highway 101 near Sequim

SEQUIM — A pedestrian was hit by a car on U.S. Highway 101 east of River Road and was critically injured this evening, the State Patrol said.

The collision occurred at about 6:15 p.m.

Highway 101 has been closed between the exits to River Road and Sequim Avenue until further notice, said Trooper Russ Winger, spokesman for the State Patrol.

Troopers are investigating.

No information is yet available on the identities of the pedestrian or driver, Winger said.
