Readers have noticed changes in the Peninsula Daily News that began on Tuesday.
The changes in comics and features were done to increase efficiency and in light of the rising costs of our syndicated features, while also providing readers with such favorite features as Dear Abby and Sudoku.
Dear Abby has been moved to Page A2, while Sudoku now can be found on the Comics Page. The Jumble puzzle, which was published in the Classified section now is on the Comics Page.
The comic strip Tundra has moved from Page A2 to the Comics Page and has been replaced on Page A2 by Doonesbury.
The bridge column, crossword puzzle and WonderWord puzzle remain in the Classified section.
We have added Super Quiz and Carolyn Hax’s advice column, so now readers have two such columns to peruse, with Hax on the Comics Page and Dear Abby on Page A2. Also added are these comics: Big Nate, B.C., Pearls Before Swine, Wizard of Id and Frazz.
We have retained Garfield, Red and Rover and Pickles.
We have discontinued the Astrology column, Dilbert, For Better or for Worse, Frank & Ernest, A Rose is a Rose, Dennis the Menace, Zits and Family Circus.
