PORT ANGELES — Contractor crews will close lanes overnight on U.S. Highway 101 east of Port Angeles during the next two weeks.
The lanes will be closed at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and will reopen at 7 a.m. the following morning, according to a press release from the state Department of Transportation.
Westbound lane closures will be located between Del Guzzi Drive and Baker Street, and the eastbound lane closures will be between Monroe Road and Brook Avenue.
Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times, WSDOT said.
The lane closures will allow contractor crews to perform utility work in preparation for an upcoming fish barrier removal project on Highway 101 at Lees and Ennis creeks.
The lane closures are scheduled for Sunday through the morning of Friday, and again from Dec. 15-20.
The work is weather sensitive and could be rescheduled.
