FORKS — It’s back to choosing between Team Edward and Team Jacob again, because the third “Twilight” movie is within sight.

As we see in this teaser trailer based on the third in the best-selling books by Stephenie Meyer set on the North Olympic Peninsula’s West End (although the scenes in the movie trailer are British Columbia — none of the filming has been done here), the Cullens and Blacks remain in supernatural, Hatfiled/McCoy mode over the fate of Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan.
Edward (Robert Pattinson) struggles with mounting pressure to transform her into a vampire, while heartbroken Jacob (Taylor Lautner) tries, shirtless of course, to convince Bella that werewolf loving is the way to go.
But the real intrigue comes when its revealed that the revenge-hungry vampire Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) has made her leaping, scowling return to Forks to avenge the death her beloved ex, James.
For the few seconds we see Howard — who replaced Rachelle Lefebvre — she looks truly menacing as Victoria, capable of sparking the epic battle that unites the vamps and the werewolves, but complicates Bella’s relationship to both Edward and Jacob, who pledge to eternally fight for her love.
“Twlight: Eclipse” will debut on the North Olympic Peninsula and nationwide June 30. Like the first two films, there will probably be 12:01 a.m. showings here in Twilight country. Stay tuned … and feel free to comment below on what you think of the trailer.
