TWO COMMUNITY FORUMS to discuss the proposed affiliation between Olympic Medical Center and Seattle’s Swedish Medical Center will be held in Port Angeles and Sequim on Thursday.
The proposed affiliation with Swedish would also include Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend and Forks Community Hospital.
OMC officials said a partnership with Swedish would allow “new and enhanced local health care services in areas such as cardiology and neurosciences,” referrals to medical specialists at the Seattle medical center and participation in Swedish’s electronic medical records system and supply buying group.
Thursday’s two forums are:
■ Noon to 1 p.m., OMC’s Linkletter Hall, 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
■ 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., OMC Medical Services building, second-floor conference room, 840 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
■ A third community forum will be held at OMC’s Linkletter Hall from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3.
A question-and-answer session will follow presentations by Swedish Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Marcel Loh, members of the OMC board of commissioners and OMC Chief Executive Officer Eric Lewis.
