PORT ANGELES — Olympic Christian School has announced the awards for its Young Authors festival.
Awards were given for first- through third-place authors and for best illustrators in each grade.
The winners are:
• First grade: Cameron Peters, first place; Julia Myers, second place; Katie Bacon, third place; and Memry Noel, illustrator.
• Second grade: Madison Broker, first place; Luke Smith, second place; Loujina Van Proyen, third place; and Madison Broker, illustrator.
• Third grade: Liliana Newburg, first place; Gracie Broker, second place; Mya Callis, third place; and Mya Callis, illustrator.
• Fourth grade: Sofia Myers, first place; Alijah Brown, second place; Arwen Jones, third place; and Sofia Myers, illustrator.
• Fifth grade: Madison Smith, first place; Sterling Shamp, second place; Jake Shamp, third place; and Nigel Barclay, illustrator.
• Sixth grade: Abby Jones, first place; Lauren Smith, second place; Samantha Smith, third place; and Samantha Smith, illustrator.
• Seventh grade: Ellie Smith, first place; Jaxon Woods, second place; Aidan Swenson, third place; and Ellie Smith, illustrator.
