PORT ANGELES — Police arrested several people after Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives conducting surveillance at the Welcome Inn RV Park in Port Angeles said they spotted a stolen vehicle, said Port Angeles Deputy Chief Jason Viada.
Officers with the Port Angeles Police Department, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, State Patrol, Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Police Department, Department of Corrections, Border Patrol and state Fish & Wildlife arrested several people who initially would not exit a trailer in the park, officials said.
Some were arrested for Department of Corrections violations and warrants while others are likely facing new charges, according to officers.
Several officers were armed with rifles and other tactical gear, including helmets and a shield. The incident began at about 1:30 p.m.

Among those arrested are Alex James Frost, 28, who officers on scene said was driving the stolen vehicle, a Mustang car.
He was taken to the Clallam County jail on a community custody violation and on a felony bench warrant and remained there without bail late Thursday.
Officers, with rifles drawn, ordered Frost to walk backwards with his hands up before he was placed in handcuffs.
Clallam County Chief Criminal Deputy Brian King said Travis McDaniel, 40, also was arrested for investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle, though that vehicle was not there at the time of the arrest. He remained in the Clallam County jail late Thursday with no bond.
Officers searching two vehicles said they found keys from many vehicles, a syringe loaded with heroin, Suboxone and property they believed was stolen.
Officers believed one of the vehicles was stolen, though they were unable to immediately confirm it. In that vehicle was a small TV from prison that had Frost’s name engraved on it, they said.
King said drug paraphernalia was found in the trailer, adding that not a significant amount of drugs were found.
