Closures for the Christmas holiday in Clallam and Jefferson counties include the following:
* Government: All Washington state and Jefferson and Clallam county offices will be closed Monday for the Christmas holiday.
The Port of Port Townsend and the Port of Port Angeles also will be closed today.
There will be no mail delivery on Monday.
State Department of Licensing offices will be closed Monday.
Peninsula school districts are on their winter break.
* Public utility districts: Offices in Port Angeles, Port Hadlock and Forks will be closed Monday.
* Banks: Banks will be closed Monday.
* Tourist activities: Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and Forks visitor centers and Olympic National Park Visitors Center in Port Angeles will be closed on Christmas Day. However, the Olympic National Park Visitor Center will be open Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
The Sequim Visitor Center will only be open for half a day on Saturday.
The Forks office will close at 1 p.m. today and be closed Monday.
The entrance station on Hurricane Ridge Road will be manned if the road is open.
Olympic Game Farm in Sequim will be closed on Christmas Day.
The Museum at the Carnegie Library in Port Angeles will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Day.
Sequim Museum and Art Center is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Jefferson County Museum will be closed on Christmas Day.
The library of the Clallam County Genealogical Society will be closed starting today and will reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2.
* Ferries: Ferry runs between Port Angeles and Victoria will not change.
Most Washington State Ferries routes will operate on a normal Sunday schedule on Christmas and New Year’s days. Exceptions which affect the North Olympic Peninsula are noted below:
— The Edmonds-Kingston route will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday and Jan. 2.
— The Seattle-Bainbridge route will be on a Saturday schedule Monday and Jan. 2.
— The Seattle-Bremerton route will have no Seattle-Vashon passenger-only service on Monday or Jan. 2.

* Garbage: Pickup for residential users will be the same as usual. The city of Port Angeles Landfill and recycling drop boxes will be closed on Monday. The Blue Mountain transfer station will have a short day Christmas Eve, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
* Liquor stores: State-run liquor stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and reopen Tuesday.
* Libraries: North Olympic Peninsula libraries, Port Townsend Library and Jefferson County Library in Port Hadlock will be closed on Saturday and Monday.
* Senior centers: Port Angeles Senior Center, Sequim’s senior center and Port Townsend’s senior center are regularly closed Sundays and will be closed Monday for the Christmas holiday.
* Transit systems: There will be no bus service with Clallam Transit or Jefferson Transit on Christmas Day. There will be regular service on Monday, although business offices will be closed.
* Pools: The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center will be closed on Saturday and Christmas Day, and the William Shore Memorial Pool in Port Angeles will close at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and be closed on Christmas Day. There will be no exercise classes at William Shore through Jan. 2. William Shore will have additional open swims from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. today and Dec. 26-30.
The Port Townsend Municipal Pool will close at 2 p.m. today and remain closed on Christmas.
The offices of the Peninsula Daily News will be closed on Monday for the Christmas holiday. Newspapers will be delivered as usual.
