PORT ANGELES — Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue fought back a house fire in the 100 block of Killer Whale Lane and all occupants managed to get out before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 4 p.m. Friday after several neighbors reported that the home and garage were on fire, according to a press release.
The Elwha police reported that all occupants were successfully out of the residence, the press release said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a well-involved structure fire with flames showing from the garage and extending into the house.
They were able to stop the blaze and search the residence to make sure no one was in it. Once it was fully extinguished, it was turned over to the Elwha Housing Authority and the tenants.
Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue responded with three engines, two tenders, an ambulance and a command unit. Port Angeles Fire Department assisted with one engine and one command unit.
The cause of the fire was not reported.
