NEWS BRIEFS: Wreath sale orders sought … and other items

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Garden Club is taking orders for its annual wreath sale.

Undecorated wreaths are available this year for $20; wreaths with a bow are $25.

This is the garden club’s major fundraiser, which supports local high school and community college scholarships and contributions to community organizations

Customers designate their preference of bow color and type of wreath: traditional, whimsy, country, glitzy, Seahawks or a special wreath request.

Sample pictures of the wreaths can be viewed at www.portangelesgardenclub.org (select “Fundraisers”).

This year, wreaths will be decorated and delivered the week following Thanksgiving.

To order, contact Beverly Dawson at 360-582-0803 or bgdawson3644@gmail.com, or Shari Bley at 415-823-5374 or shari1959@yahoo.com.

Participants will take home a simple felt board they have made, some patterns and ideas about how to use the board to tell stories or work with a child.

This program is geared toward adults. All materials will be provided.

Limited seats are available, and registration is required. To register online, visit www.nols.org or send an email to Youth@nols.org.
