NEWS BRIEFS — Two weeks of stormwater maintenance expected in Sequim . . . and other items

SEQUIM — The city Public Works Department will perform routine stormwater maintenance over the next two weeks.

This week, crews will work on West Sequim Bay Road east of South Rhodefer Road, the city said in a news release.

The week of Oct. 21, crews will work between Fifth Avenue East and South Sequim Avenue and between West Washington Street and Prairie Street.

Stormwater maintenance includes cleaning catch basins and drywells and jetting the lateral lines that connect the catch basin and their detention areas.

This process removes sediment, rock asphalt and debris from the catch basins and their lines.

For any questions or to report stormwater drainage problems, phone the Public Works Department at 360-683-4908.
