PORT ANGELES — The Answer for Youth and Sprouting Hope Greenhouse will host a Candy Cane Christmas Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
The event, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., will feature speakers, a dinner, dessert auction, raffle and silent auction of trees, holiday centerpieces and festive wreaths.

OMC meeting
PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Medical Center commissioners will hold a special meeting Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
Agenda items for the meeting include an October medical staff credentials report, an OMC Foundation update and a safety report.
The meeting, in Linkletter Hall in the basement conference area of the hospital at 939 Caroline St., is being held earlier in the day due to the Thanksgiving holiday the following day.

PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Home Health has recently been named as a Top Agency in 2018 HomeCare Elite.
The HomeCare Elite ranking recognizes the top 25 percent of Medicare certified home health agencies.
According to a press release, Olympic Medical Home Health averages, on any given day, 385 patients under the care of 78 staff members. As of the end of September, Home Health staff members had made more than 38,600 home visits this year.
