SEQUIM — All fourth-grade or 9-year-old students living within the boundaries of the Sequim School District are invited to create an ornament to help decorate the holiday tree, to be on display in the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
The tree will be up from Nov. 28-Jan. 1. The theme for all student-created ornaments is “What the Holidays Mean to Me.”

Ornaments are to be delivered to Sequim Civic Center on Monday, Nov. 21, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
If needed, arrangements for an alternative delivery day or time can be arranged.
The decorated tree will be on display by Monday, Nov. 28. The Tree Lighting and Official Reception for all student participants and their parents will be held in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk on Dec. 2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
All students will receive a photo and commemorative card as a thank-you remembrance for their participation when their ornaments are returned in January.

Monday Musicale set for Port Angeles
PORT ANGELES — Monday Musicale will meet in the Queen of Angels Fellowship Hall, 209 W. 11th St., from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Trail Mix will perform country music, and Neil and Bobby Usselman will provide the instrumental and vocal arrangements.
The musical entertainment at 1 p.m. is open to the public.

TED Talks Tuesday in PA
PORT ANGELES — Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 Barr Road, will host Ted Talk tUUesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Two to three Ted Talk videos will be followed by discussion. Light snacks will be offered.

• Kio Stark: “Why You Should Talk to Strangers,” 12 minutes.

PORT ANGELES — A RainShadow Chorale concert, “A Heaven Full of Stars,” will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave., at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Unity speaker
PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics, 2917 E. Myrtle St., will host guest speakers Alan Peterson and Elizabeth Saint Germain at its 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.
Their lesson is titled “Gratitude: The Cornucopia of Love.”
Musician and songwriter Peterson uses the transformative power of music and lyrics to uncover the truths that lie deep within the heart, according to a news release.
Saint Germain is a contemporary luminary whose message of “living in love” has touched the lives of thousands through private coaching, transformative workshops and speaking engagements, according to a news release.
A time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Child care is available during the service.
Thanksgiving service
SEQUIM — Three Sequim churches will join to present a Thanksgiving service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
The other sponsoring churches are Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Music will include the combined choirs of the three churches.
