PORT ANGELES — Shelter Providers Network of Clallam County will continue planning the annual Forum on Ending Homelessness in June when the group meets at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The network will meet in Room 160 of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.
Agenda items include opportunities for people to lead skills-training classes at the Housing Resource Center in Port Angeles, updates on pending legislation affecting homelessness and reports on services, housing and funding.
Anyone interested in ending homelessness in Clallam County is welcome.

Pavers deadline
SEQUIM — The deadline is Friday to buy an engraved commemorative brick paver for the community plaza at the Sequim Civic Center now under construction.
The deadline is to ensure they will be included in the initial installation of the plaza. The project is expected to be completed by the middle of this year.
Each 7.5-square-inch brick costs $100. They can be engraved with three lines with up to 13 characters per line. They will be installed on the floor of the $466,982 plaza.
The $14.5 million civic center replaces the 1973 City Hall at 152 W. Cedar St.
Functional operation of the building is expected to begin May 18.

Hanging baskets
PORT ANGELES — First Baptist Church will again offer hanging flower baskets as a fundraiser to benefit local at-risk youths and children.
The Victorian moss combination baskets will be planted by Wayne Roedell and the church’s outreach department.
Baskets come in three sizes and go for $55, $75 and $90.
They will be available beginning May 4 at the east parking lot of Traylor’s Restaurant, 3256 E. U.S. Highway 101.

DAR to meet Wednesday in Port Angeles
PORT ANGELES — The Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at the Veterans Center, 216 S. Francis St., at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The speaker, Jaydee Price, will present “The History of the Color Red.”

Theater class set in Forks for students
FORKS — The Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., will present a series of Readers’ Theater workshops for students in grades 9-12 beginning Monday, April 20.
Memorization and previous theater experience are not required.
Participants will work with library facilitator Laura Kesey Farrell to develop their voice and bring their favorite readings to life without the use of props or costumes.
Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
