SEQUIM — The next Sequim School District listening event will be held today at 4 p.m. in the Sequim High School library, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
This public event, organized by district officals to let stakeholders voice thoughts on last February’s school facilities bond election, is expected to last one hour.
“This is not meant to be a Q&A session, a presentation or a debate. This is meant only to offer Sequim community members the opportunity to give their opinion,” Superintendent Gary Neal said in a news release.
Attendees will have the opportunity to address Neal and school board representatives with their remarks.
Written comments will also be accepted. Paper forms will be provided as needed.
“What we hope to achieve with these listening events is to gather community input regarding the last school construction bond,” Neal said.
“The input will be recorded, categorized and made available on the District’s website. This information will be used to guide our future planning.”
Listening events are also scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m., both in the Sequim High School library. A session was also held last Saturday.

Ambulances donated to food program
SEQUIM — Bill Littlejohn, president of Olympic Ambulance, has donated two more ambulances to Food for the Poor, bringing the total number of ambulances donated to nine since 2006.
In addition to ambulances, Olympic Ambulance has contributed a variety of other medical equipment and supplies, according to a news release
The ambulances were donated March 9.
Food for the Poor offers aid to those in 17 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
