SEQUIM — The city of Sequim is accepting applications for a scholarship from the Association of Washington Cities.
The association’s Center for Quality Communities Scholarship Fund offers a scholarship to Washington students who are actively engaged in their city government or community.
Applicants must be graduating from high school, home school or receiving a GED certificate in spring or summer of 2019 and must plan to attend an accredited college or trade school in the 2019-20 academic year on at least a half-time basis.
Completed applications should be sent to the city of Sequim, Attn: Karen Kuznek-Reese, 152 W. Cedar St., Sequim, WA 98382 or emailed to kkuznek@sequimwa.gov.
Applications must be received by 4 p.m. Feb. 28.

OSU Honor roll
CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State University has recently announced the names of students who have made the scholastic honor roll for the fall term.
To be on the honor roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work with at least a
3.5 grade point average.
Of the 6,235 students honored, 1,483 had a straight-A average.
Local students listed are:
• Sequim: Katherine G. Landoni, a senior studying Earth sciences, had a straight-A average.
• Port Townsend: Jacob W. Vande Griend, a junior studying physics, was also honored.
