NEWS BRIEFS: Quorum is possible for city meeting … and other items

SEQUIM — A quorum of the Sequim City Council could be in attendance at an informational meeting on a recently completed affordable housing study and proposed action plan.

The meeting is today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 152 W. Cedar St.

The affordable housing study was conducted to help the city identify the nature of the existing housing supply within city limits, according to a press release.

The study outlines the city’s social, economic and demographic information and how that relates to the housing market’s affordability.

The action plan contains potential steps the city might take to address housing affordability, supply and demand.

Meeting participants will have the opportunity to provide input on elements of the action plan strategies.

The study and action plan were developed by Tom Beckwith from Beckwith Consulting Group and Eric Hovee from Ed Hovee & Co.
