NEWS BRIEFS: Port Townsend police seek help locating man said to have exposed himself … and other items

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a man said to have exposed himself to minors.

The man, said to be between 30 and 55 years of age with dark hair and dark rimmed glasses, has been reported as driving a vehicle believed to be a dark-colored Subaru, possibly with a silver luggage rack, said Keppie Keplinger, police department spokeswoman.

Twice in the past month, police have responded to calls from individuals who said the man pulled over to the side of the road and asked for directions, then exposed himself and drove away, Keplinger said.

Two of the individuals approached were minors.

The car was last reported near Monroe Street on May 26.

“If you or somebody you know has had a similar situation happen to you in our community that has not been reported or if you know the identity of this man or his whereabouts, you are asked to contact Jefferson County Dispatch through the non-emergency business line at 360-344-9779, ext. 0,” Keplinger said.
