NEWS BRIEFS: Port Townsend cidery’s new location opening May 28 . . . and other items

PORT TOWNSEND — Finnriver Farm & Cidery has moved its tasting room and event facilities to the new Finnriver Orchard and Cider Garden, 124 Center Road, with the opening celebration scheduled for Saturday, May 28.

Food and cider will be served and there will be live music.

Public and private tours of the orchards, booked via appleseedtours@gmail.com or on location, will available throughout the summer months. The orchards host over 5,000 trees with 20 different varieties.

The new location will also be a music venue for regional and national bands Saturday nights.

Trinity service to feature talk, music

SEQUIM — “God in Creation” will be the theme of the 10 a.m. service at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., this Sunday.

Music will feature the Trinity Singers choir, the Bell Choir, the Praising Hands sign-language choir, instrumentalists and ­soloists.

Among the Trinity Singers’ numbers will be a portion of “A New Created World” and two pieces by contemporary British composer John Rutter, “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and “Look at the World.”

Unity in Olympics

PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics, 2917 E. Myrtle St., will host guest speaker Valerie Sherrill for the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.

The topic of Sherrill’s lesson is titled “Worthiness.”

Sherrill said she will share “the principles that have most guided me.”

A time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Child care is available during the service.

Taize service

SEQUIM — All are welcome to the ecumenical Taize service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., at 7 p.m. ­Monday.

There will be a meditative, candlelit atmosphere that includes singing simple, repetitive songs during the hourlong service.

Taize will continue to be held the fourth Monday of each month.
