PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School Board will hear of plans for the high school health clinic when it meets Thursday.
A work session is set for 5:30 p.m.
An executive session is set for 6:30 p.m.. The regular session will begin at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be conducted at the district’s central services building at 216 E. Fourth St.
Board member will discuss a Wednesday morning late start for district elementary schools to align with secondary school schedules.
Assistant Superintendent Chuck Lisk will provide an update on the Nature Bridge Educational field trip for sixth-graders, new costs savings and the method for payment that will allow Port Angeles School District students to participate.
Also on the agenda is extended school year summer school plan update, a budget update and a truancy report.
The board also will consider action on several policies.

Taste of PT
PORT TOWNSEND — The Taste of Port Townsend is set for Thursday at the Northwest Maritime Center.
The event at the maritime center at 431 Water St., will offer visitors tastes from 14 restaurants and samples of beer, wine, cider, tea and coffee.
Tickets purchased in advance will allow early entry at 5 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door beginning 6 p.m. on a space-available basis. Tickets are $50 for food and alcohol tastes; $35 for food-only tastes.
Participants must be at least 21 years old to attend and should bring identification.
Among tastes offered will be green curry chicken, seafood risotto, sushi, smokehouse sliders, smoked sockeye nova lox with cream cheese, salads and desserts.
