COUPEVILLE — There will be field carrier landing practice operations for aircraft stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island at Ault Field midafternoon to late night today.
Practice will also occur late morning to early afternoon Tuesday.
Aircraft carrier-based flight training also will occur at the Outlying Field early afternoon Tuesday and Friday.
Training has also been set for early afternoon then night to late night Wednesday and Thursday.

Chain gang busy
PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Chain Gang raked and picked up drain rock out of county right of way on Evans Road and disposed of it in Kirner pit during the week of June 18-21.
Notable items found along roadways were a needle, a recliner, a seat cushion and four tires.
Crew members found illegal dumpsites at Deer Park Rest Area, Buchannan Drive and Ennis Creek Road totaling 150 pounds of garbage from the dumpsites.
Crew members cleaned six miles of Old Olympic Highway and 150 pounds of litter.
Crew members also trimmed 330 feet of guardrail on Peters Road.
The chain gang has so far this year cleaned 54.25 miles of roadway, picked up 45,780 pounds of dumpsite litter, picked up 3,990 pounds of roadside litter, recycled 272 pounds of aluminum, removed or sprayed 21,635 Scotch broom plants, trimmed 9,504 feet of guardrail and brushed six miles of county rights of way.
For the Forest Service, the chain gang has so far this year cleaned two miles of forest roads or trails; removed 11,290 pounds of dumpsite litter; and removed 15 hazard trees.
