PYSHT — Drivers on state Highway 112 will encounter a closed lane as state Department of Transportation crews conduct storm repairs today, Transportation said Thursday.
Motorists will navigate through one-lane alternating traffic during daylight hours at milepost 26.8, east of Fernandes Road.
The department advises motorists to expect short delays at the site and to adjust travel times accordingly.
During the lane closure, Transportation maintenance crews will place boulders — or riprap — along the roadway’s shoulder.
The riprap will help stabilize areas eroded by recent flooding of the Pysht River caused by heavy rains and high tides, Transportation said in a news release.

Unity speaker slated for Sunday in PA
PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics’ 10:30 a.m. Sunday service speaker will be the Rev. Donna Little.
Her lesson at the church at 2917 E. Myrtle St. is titled “Faith & Hope.”
Little, a resident of Sequim, is a licensed and ordained Unity minister.
A time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Child care is available during the service.
Victorian themes
SEQUIM — Beginning this Sunday, Trinity United Methodist Church will feature Victorian-era themed decor during its December services.
Carolers and musicians in Victorian garb will greet people arriving for the 10 a.m. service each Sunday at the church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
A town crier will proclaim the theme of the day as a lamplighter tends to the Advent lamps.
The story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from a bitter miser to a joyous giver will be explored through drama, music and the reflections of pastor Bill Green.
People attending the services are encouraged to wear Victorian-era clothing.
On Sunday, Dec. 24 — in addition to the 10 a.m. service — there will be a 6 p.m. Christmas Eve candle-lighting service. The Victorian theme will continue, with handbells and traditional carols.
