NEWS BRIEFS: Man unhurt in wreck off Highway 20 near Discovery Bay . . . and other items

PORT TOWNSEND— A Port Orchard man was uninjured when he drove a refrigerated truck off state Highway 20 near Discovery Bay on Friday, the State Patrol said.

Tyler S. Menou, 24, was traveling eastbound when the truck left the roadway near Milepost 1 and came to a rest in a ditch leaning up against an embankment, troopers said.

The highway was partially blocked from about 3:16 p.m. to 5:50 p.m., state Department of Transportation officials said.

Menou was wearing a seat belt, and drugs and alcohol were not involved, troopers said.

The 2007 Chevrolet truck was damaged but was driven from the scene.

PORT ANGELES — The SmileMobile, a dental office on wheels, will offer services to Port Angeles children who have limited access to care beginning this week.

The mobile dental office will be based at Jefferson Elementary School, 218 E. 12th St., from Monday through March 12.

Exams should be scheduled as soon as possible.

Parents can arrange appointments for their children by calling 888-286-9105.

A child does not need to be a student at Jefferson Elementary to have a dental exam scheduled.

Appointments are available for new clients as well as follow-up visits for children from previous SmileMobile visits.

Apple Health coverage is accepted, and a sliding-fee scale based on family income is available.
