PORT ANGELES — The public is invited to a special Drink and Draw at 7 tonight.
The free event is upstairs at the Loom in Studio Bob, 118 ½ E. Front St.
The all ages drawing event will feature a model posing for three 20-minute sessions.
Cast members from the Port Angeles Community Players production of “Playing With Fire (After Frankenstein)” will model in costume.
Drawing supplies are available or artists can bring their own.
Enjoy the casual, friendly atmosphere and perhaps a beer, wine or soft drink.
Monday Musicale
PORT ANGELES — Monday Musicale will hold its monthly meeting at noon Monday.
The meeting will be at the fellowship hall at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St.
It will be followed at 1 p.m. with a free concert by the David Jones Trio.
Membership dues of $15 per year are used to provide scholarships for local high school musicians.

Salmon meeting
SEKIU — North Olympic Lead Entity for Salmon will host a meeting at 6 p.m. today.
The meeting, at Sekiu Community Center at 42 Rice St., will discuss the entity’s inventory of county road culverts on streams flowing into the western Strait of Juan de Fuca.
The public is invited to share light refreshments at this free meeting.
The North Olympic Peninsula Lead Entity for Salmon works to advance salmon restoration and protection on rivers and streams flowing into the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Applicants sought
PORT TOWNSEND — East Jefferson Fire-Rescue is seeking applicants for a commissioner.
Due to the resignation of a commissioner, an immediate opening is available on the board.
The appointed position runs until Dec. 31, 2019.
An ideal candidate would be interested in standing for re-election for a full six-year term in the November 2019 general election.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of interest and application to the board secretary no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Sequim M.D. retires from his practice
SEQUIM — C. Albert Phillips, M.D., closed his psychiatric medical practice Sept. 30.
He is retiring after practicing for 36 years in Sequim.
His new mailing address is: P.O. Box 239, Sequim.
Phillips graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1960.
He trained in clinical and forensic psychiatry at the University of Colorado, where he also served as an expert witness in psychiatry for the Superior Courts of Colorado.
Phillips served at the United States Public Health Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, where he developed and directed a treatment program for 350 hospitalized veterans of the Vietnam War.
In 1968, Phillips returned to Bellevue as the clinical director of the psychiatric unit at Overlake Memorial Hospital.
Prior to coming to Sequim in 1982, Phillips had a private practice in Bellevue.
