PORT ANGELES — The public is invited to an “Anti-Bullying, Diversity & Disability Awareness Assembly” this Friday at 1 p.m. featuring public speaker Michael Corsini.
The assembly will take place in the Stevens Middle School main gym, 1139 W. 14th St.
Over the past 18 years, Corsini has spoken on injury prevention and anti-bullying to more than 150,000 youths, parents and educators at various schools, community groups, churches and other related venues throughout the region.
According to a news release: “Corsini is permanently disabled with quadriplegia due to poor decision-making while a teen. As such, he is able to relate his message to listeners in a relevant, compelling and effective way.”

CARLSBORG — The work session for the Clallam County Public Utility District Board of Commissioners that was scheduled for Monday has been canceled, according to a news release.
Trust lands committee
PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Trust Lands Advisory Committee will meet Friday at noon.
The meeting will be held in the commissioners’ meeting room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The meeting agenda will include discussion of a field trip as part of the committee’s review of Clallam County trust lands and discussion of potential recommendations to the county commissioners.
NAMI film event
PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County National Alliance on Mental Illness will present a film, “Infinitely Polar Bear,” at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave., from noon to 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
The comedy-drama is about a young family struggling with their father’s mental illness and ultimately triumphing as they work their way out of poverty.
This free annual event, presented by NAMI Jeffco, is in honor of Mental Illness Awareness Week.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be available.
There will be a question-and-answer period after the film.

‘Seed bank’ talk set for Sequim farm
SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild will present its monthly speaker series and business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The event will be held in the community hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
The public is invited to the first portion of the meeting in which Kia Armstrong, manager of Nash’s Organic Produce Farm, will speak on the “seed bank” and history of farming methods in the area.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Newcomers and guild members are welcome to attend.

Performing arts concert
PORT LUDLOW — Joe Scott and Hanna Alkire will present their “new acoustic” sound, a blend of Celtic, Americana, world and flamenco musical influences, at the Port Ludlow Bay Club at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.
