PORT ANGELES — A new show, “From the Land of Ghosts & Shadows,” brings a bit of Ireland today to the PUB Gallery at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Admission is free to this public exhibition of original paintings by Josie Gray, who lives most of the year in Lough Arrow in Ireland’s County Sligo, but also makes extended visits to Port Angeles, hometown of his companion, poet Tess Gallagher.
Gray’s “Land of Ghosts & Shadows” awaits art lovers at the gallery beside the Little Theater in the college’s J Building, open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Gray and Gallagher will give a free presentation on the show and screen “Scenes from the Ballindoon Cafe,” a short documentary filmed at Gallagher’s cottage in Ireland, at 12:35 p.m. March 6 in the Little Theater.
