PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has announced new personnel to fill some of the district’s administrative positions for the 2025-2026 school year.
The new leaders are Michaela Clancy, director of special services; Aaron West, director of transportation; and Shanna Coleman, principal at Jefferson Elementary School.
“We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional leaders to their new roles,” Superintendent Marty Brewer said. “Each one brings a unique perspective and skill set that will help strengthen our schools and support our students. We look forward to the positive impact they will have across our district.”
Clancy was approved as the director of special services by the school board at its May 15 meeting. She brings more than two decades of experience in education, including leadership roles in the Seattle, Clover Park and Dieringer school districts.
She replaces Rhonda Kromm, who has been promoted to assistant superintendent.
West has been promoted to director of transportation from his previous position as the transportation department’s lead mechanic. He will replace Marcia Bowden following her resignation.
Coleman has been the assistant principal at Port Angeles High School. She is replacing interim principal Coco Carlson, who will return to teaching with a position at the district’s online Seaview Academy.
